Dreams.
We all have them. Mine have changed over time.
Some have come true. Some haven't.
I remember when our oldest son was in Kindergarten (he went to a private school for K & 1st then we started homeschooling) I helped in his classroom as much as I was able. I came home one day & told my DH "I know what I want to do when I grow up!! I want to be a Kindergarten teacher!!". Mrs Richards just made it look so fun & easy. I love kids that age. They are just so fresh (in a good way) and wonderful to be around, imo. Well, instead of doing that I ended up deciding to homeschool my children. The BEST of both worlds. Teaching & being around MY children. I would never change that decision. So, I would say that dream came true. It didn't look like what I thought it would but it came true all the same.
My dream after that was in the making all along. I haven't accomplished it but I'm holding fast to it. I want to be a personal trainer/fitness/nutritionist. I want to help people take care of themselves from the inside out. I want to help them figure out what their triggers are & help them find their soul-mate workout. I want to be there for them when they feel like they can't go another day without giving in to their cravings. I want to be there to cheer them on every step of the way. That's my dream.
I happen to know my God is in the making-dreams-come-true business. Now, like I said about the teaching, it might not look exactly what I'm thinking of but I know He knows my heart.
It was huge for me to start a blog here, then my Facebook page, I'm even on Twitter now!! Not as much as I probably could be but that (for some reason) really intimidates me.
I have had beautiful women ask me for help or just advice. I am honored & humbled that they would come to me.
God has me on my way. I'm thrilled about that.
We can't give up on our dreams. We need to remember that they might look a little different than we originally think they would look and that is ok! We grow & can handle so much more than we think we can.
So, DREAM ON friends. Don't stop!! Go after it with all your heart. You are WORTH IT!!!
What are your dreams??
Be Blessed & Healthy!!!

Week 4 - ChaLEAN Extreme
I keep thinking about posting an update for this new program I'm doing & then it doesn't happen. Here you go.
I also run 3 nights a week. With my schedule with my kids etc I just can't get a run in before or after my workout so I take a little time at night and run on my treadmill (too dark out for a road run and well, we have BEARS in the neighborhood!)
I have to say I LOVE Chalene. I love TurboFire (a clip of TF with testimonials: http://youtu.be/oRGTuvoEgdA ) & ChaLEAN Extreme (check this video out: http://youtu.be/7vLU-PnMliQ ). Her philosophy is "lift heavy or go home". I do like that. I have already upped my weight during this 1st phase. I still have 2 phases to go through, Push & Lean. I will be doing a measure & weigh-in Monday next week & will post the changes. I can tell you right now there WILL be changes in the numbers. I can tell just by the way my clothes are fitting. I cheated a little bit & stepped on the scale a few times & haven't lost more than a pound but the fact that I am able to fit in a couple of jeans that I was having trouble with before is VERY inspiring.
Switching subjects:
I signed up a few months ago for a free online nutrition course. I have just finished 3 weeks & am so excited about what I'm learning. This past week was about Diabetes. I had NO idea about this & am just floored at what people will put in their bodies & probably don't even realize how much at risk they are at getting Diabetes. Very scary!
Also have a GREAT update on a friend. A friend of mine had her 1st baby & I had offered to kind of mentor her along with losing weight & getting fit. She took me up on my offer & is officially on her way!! She is already a couple of pant sizes down & WOW can you see a difference!! This is one HOT, FIT Mama!! I'm so proud of her!! Eating right & exercising --WORK.
What is your go to healthy food??
Be Blessed & Healthy!!!
PS - if you are interested in ordering or finding out more about these workouts let me know. I have some GREAT friends that are Beachbody coaches & I can get you in touch with someone)

Gardening with the Kids
Oh my what a beautiful day!! It hit about 90 here in Central Florida & after a morning of a yucky dr appt I called my 2 youngest kids & said be ready to get in the car when I get home. I took them over to Lowe's & let them pick out plants to put in their gardens. My 13 yr old son took over the plot that used to be the butterfly garden. We still have some butterfly hosts plants in there but he is choosing to put some more color in there too.
Miss E my 6 yr old princess has a spot outside her bedroom window. When she was just a baby I would sit at her window with her & we would look out & enjoy all the pretty things outside. She remembers alot of it & said she can't wait to enjoy that again with all these new plants. She also picked Spearmint & Parsley to plan since they do ok with part sun. Her plot doesn't get alot of sun.
Last but NOT least, my son M found this little friend in his garden. He put it in our veggie garden to help us out there.
So, I know you know I can't let you go without a little fitness/health talk right? Well, now. Gardening is a GREAT way to get out there & get some physical fitness. Get down & dirty & pull those weeds, push that wheelbarrow, shovel that dirt. Yes, that all counts as a workout. Now, it doesn't and shouldn't take the place of a good cardio workout but it does count.
Tell me about your garden. Do you have a flower or veggie or both? We also have a great vegetable garden. It's my husbands creation for sure. I don't have that kind of green thumb. I'm so proud of him. I'll posts pictures of that next!! You want to see a REALLY cool garden? Check out my friends blog over at The Not So Perfect Housewife.
If you stop by let me know. Just leave me a comment & say hi. Thanks!!

Of course when they were all done we just HAD to turn the sprinklers on! There has to be some rinsing off & watering all the new plants. I'm sure this wasn't fun AT ALL. Can you tell how they weren't having fun?
