What is YOUR goal?

Goals

I realize everyone has a different goal for themselves.  Some want to just be fit & keep up with their kids.  Some want to be "skinny" and even that will be different for everyone.  Some just want to eat healthy.  Some use healthy eating to be able to go off certain meds.

What about other things like keeping your house clutter free (a HUGE problem for this woman!).  Being on time (another biggy for me!).

Well, I am learning to write my goals down.

I put them where I can see them.  That helps to hold me accountable on a daily basis.

If it's something big, I make sure I talk with someone about it.  Someone I know who will honestly help to hold me accountable.

What about you?  Do you have goals you have trouble sticking to?  How do you reach them? Maybe you have some tips that could help -- PLEASE SHARE:)

  1. Hi Pamela. I do have trouble sticking with my goals. A lady wrote a blog on UBC a couple of weeks ago about making a TIC-TAC-TOE style list. It works so well for me that I do it every night before I go to bed and leave it on the counter. That way my partner can see what needs to be done and we race each other to win a line. 1. That is a great idea. Now if I could get my daughter to move some of her "artwork" and give Mommy a place :) This is a great idea too. Honestly I never thought to have it out there for all to see. I have always just had them where I can see them.....hmmmm -- Pamela

  3. My most recent goal has been to simplify. Simplify my calendar, the way I decorate and commitments. With this UBC challenge and homeschooling, it's not so easy to simplify. But, I'm working on it.:)

BTW, I’d like to invite you to “Like” my new Facebook fan page for The Gluten Free Homestead. https://www.facebook.com/TheGlutenFreeHomestead

I’d be extremely blessed by your participation and promotion of joyful gluten free living.

    Have a blessed week.

    1. Thank you Barbara. I will go & do that! I also am a homeschooler & find myself looking to simplify often! It always seems like more keeps being added to the Mom's To Do list. -- Pamela

  4. I write my BIG Goals down in a TO DO List as Projects and under them, I write little small steps that can lead me there. For example, I have a Project Called "Get FIT" and in it, I have things like lose 10% of my weight, get down to 32 inches, etc. Small little goals and everytime I reach one of them, I mark it complete. It helps to see your goals moving and not just stagnant until you reach the end GOAL. So it works!!

    1. Hi Khloe! Small steps are GREAT for getting us to the BIG goal!! Often when I'm helping people with weight loss/exercise we take "baby steps". If someone needs to lose 50 lbs that can seem overwhelming. If we start with 10 or 15 it's doable. If someone wants to start running, we aren't going to do a marathon first. We start small & figure out where to go from there.

The fish on my screen are there because I have a little girl who LOVES to "feed" them. If you click your mouse on there it will leave "food" & the fish go get it. She always seems to know when I'm on my blog so she can feed the fish. I'm glad your little guy likes them!! --Pamela
